Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age fourteen. She studied kickboxing, boxing and wrestling before she made her debut appearance as an amateur at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. This put a black mark on Ladd's records in her amateur. Ladd was victorious in her subsequent fight against Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 mark. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta 11 saw her dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round.
