She made her debut as a filmmaker with the short film THE GOD WHO VISITS, with Nicole C. Mullen. The two co-wrote the soundtrack for the film. Gifford is a patron of many charities for children such as Childhelp as well as the Association to Benefit Children. They gave birth to Cassidy's Place & Cody House which are named for her kids.
