Jenna Fischer's most recognizable part is as Pam Beesly in the highly acclaimed television series The Office. Fischer was awarded the award of two SAG Awards and an Emmy for her outstanding performance by an ensemble comedy.
She was born and raised in Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna was impressed by her mother's worship services as she began her career.
Fischer was a stage actress in her own country. The Off-Broadway show she starred in was the production Reasons to be Happy that was directed and written by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. She then starred in Steve Martin's newest play Meteor Shower. It was an absurd comedy piece starring Greg Germann, Josh Stamberg and ran for an unprecedented time at the Old Globe Theatre.
In October of 2019, Fischer and The Office actor and friend Angela Kinsey began the podcast Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform, which has gained immense popularity, settling on the Top Ten globally every week and gaining over 200 million downloads over its initial two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Awards in January 2021.
The Actor's Life was her first novel, and describes the path she traveled from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood and then to Hollywood, where she was a professional actress. Her second, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography about her best friend and their experience working in The Office.
